LAS VEGAS, Nev. (702 Times, NV Globe) – Tropicana Avenue over I-15 will be closed for five hours overnight by the Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) for repairs to the temporary Diverging Diamond Interchange.
The shutdown will begin at 11:00 p.m. on Monday. and will reopen at 4:00 a.m. the following morning.
During that time, the ramp from northbound I-15 to Tropicana will also be blocked.
The diamond pattern is intended to alleviate construction congestion while also improving safety and efficiency.
The nighttime fixes are intended to increase the safety of automobiles negotiating the diamond.
Tropicana reopened on Monday after an eight-day hiatus.
