U.S. Denies Role in Arrest of Israeli Citizen in Las Vegas Child Sex Sting

U.S. officials have confirmed that the federal government did not intervene in the arrest of an Israeli citizen during a child sex sting in the Las Vegas Valley.

According to a statement shared on social media by the U.S. State Department’s Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs, 38-year-old Tom Artiom Alexandrovich is an Israeli national. Officials noted that Alexandrovich did not seek diplomatic immunity and was released by a Nevada judge while awaiting his court date. The statement emphasized that any claims of U.S. government involvement in the case are false.

Public records show that a November 2024 article on the Israeli government’s official website identified a man with the same name as the head of the Technological Defense Division at the Israel National Cyber Directorate. Authorities did not confirm whether this reference is related to the current case.

Alexandrovich was among eight individuals arrested in the sting operation. Each of the suspects faces a charge of using a computer to lure a child for sexual activity.

Las Vegas police investigators urge anyone with information or who may have been affected by the suspects to contact the department’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force at 702-828-3111. Anonymous tips may be submitted through Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555 or via its website.
