LAS VEGAS, Nev. (702 Times, NV Globe) – The coroner’s office in Clark County has identified two persons killed in an incident on the Las Vegas Strip.
Maris Mareen Digiovanni, 30, and Brent Allan Hallett, 47, both of Las Vegas, were recognized Thursday evening.
According to Las Vegas Metropolitan Police, six additional persons were injured in the incident.
The incident happened Thursday morning along Spring Mountain Road on the Las Vegas Strip.
The suspect, who is currently in prison, allegedly wielded a huge knife during the attack.
During a news conference on Thursday afternoon, surveillance video of the suspect was presented. The police have not revealed his identify.
Four victims of Thursday’s incident are being treated at UMC, while two others are being treated at Sunrise hospital.
As a consequence of the investigation, highway ramps, Las Vegas Boulevard, Spring Mountain Road, and Sands Avenue were closed. By 6 p.m., all lanes had been reopened.
