LAS VEGAS, Nev. (702 Times, NV Globe) – Following the parent company of the theater’s Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing late last year, over 40 Regal Cinemas sites throughout the nation are expected to close.
The 39 Regal Cinemas sites that will close their doors were announced by Cineworld, the parent company of Regal, on Tuesday, according to Insider.
In September 2022, Cineworld first filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
According to Insider, Cineworld told the court in its most recent filing on Tuesday that it will reject the leases for the properties, saving $22 million annually.
According to Insider, the Village Square store in Summerlin is one of the 39 sites that will be shutting down.
According to an insider, the business intends to start rejecting theater leases on February 15.
Henderson’s Regal Colonnade Stadium previously shut down.
