RENO, Nev. (775 Times, NV Globe) – The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) in Nevada assists low-income Nevadans in purchasing food. The program provided participants with a second monthly payment during the epidemic.
Those extra payments will stop three years from now.
Thomas Brown, among other awardees, will accept a substantial reduction. With the addition of epidemic dollars, his monthly stipend rose from $20 to more than $250.
“20 dollars to 270, that’s a major change,” Brown said.
