RENO, Nev. (NV, Globe) – According to authorities, a man was killed in a fatal collision on eastbound I-80 in Reno on September 8.
The Nevada State Police, Highway Patrol Division (NSP, HP) responded to reports of a fatal collision on westbound I-80 at Wells Ave. at 10:06 a.m.
The 78-year-old Kenn Lawrence Steffan was traveling eastbound in a 1993 Ford Ranger truck when he neglected to slow down. According to NSP, HP, the vehicle veered to the left, spinning counter-clockwise, and proceeded north, approaching a 2016 Dodge Ram truck driven by William Johnson.
Steffan’s automobile collided with the concrete median barrier, and Johnson’s car hit its left side.
Steffan was taken to the hospital but was later confirmed deceased.
