NEVADA – On Sunday afternoon, a fire erupted near the Tracy Generating Station east of Patrick, and the cause has been attributed to a transformer failure.
The incident occurred at approximately 4:30 p.m. when a 345kV substation transformer experienced an internal failure, leading to the fire.
Firefighting teams, alongside NV Energy crews, swiftly responded to the scene and successfully extinguished the fire by 7:30 p.m. Fortunately,
NV Energy reported that there were no direct repercussions for customers due to the fire.
