Carson City Sheriff’s Office Launches Mobile App
In partnership with OCVapps – a mobile app developer for law enforcement, public safety, emergency management, and public health agencies – the Carson City Sheriff’s Office has launched a Carson City Sheriff’s App.
Available through iPhone and Android devices, residents can download the mobile app to find resources, see local crime data, and receive public notifications. Notifications will be specific to planned activities, as well as emergencies that might affect public safety, the sheriff’s office said in a press release.
Residents can also submit a tip, locate sex offenders, look up inmate information, and stay up to date with links to social media pages.
“Communicating with the public at every opportunity has long been embedded in the core values of the sheriff’s office, and the addition of this media connection is just one step further in this direction,” said Sheriff Ken Furlong.
