CARSON CITY, NV – Carson High School’s earlier lockdown has been lifted after a thorough investigation into a reported weapon sighting. Authorities confirmed that no weapon was found and no injuries occurred. Classes have resumed, and the school will dismiss at its usual time.
The lockdown was initiated around 12:15 p.m. Friday after a student reported potentially seeing a weapon. The Carson City School District and the Carson City Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) immediately implemented safety protocols and conducted a comprehensive search of the premises.
While the initial report remains unverified, school officials and the CCSO exercised necessary precautions to ensure the safety of students and staff. The district commended the student for reporting the potential threat and emphasized the importance of taking all reports seriously.
