NEVADA – A fire in a popular Fernley restaurant forced the closure of Main Street for more than two hours on Saturday. According to officials from the North Lyon County Fire Protection District, the blaze started in the attic of La Fiesta, and it took firefighters about 30 to 40 minutes to reach the flames.

The cause of the fire is still unknown, and authorities are currently investigating the incident. There were no reports of any injuries, but the restaurant suffered damage due to the fire.

After the firefighters managed to knock down the flames, crews remained on the scene for some time to ensure that the fire was completely extinguished. Main Street was reopened to traffic by around 1:30 p.m.
