NEVADA – On January 6, Nevada Gov. Joe Lombardo issued a proclamation declaring a liquid petroleum gas delivery emergency.
Gov. Lombardo stated in a statement that recent storms, along with existing supply chain challenges, had caused propane deliveries in Nevada to be delayed. The extensive delivery delays have resulted in a decrease in propane availability.
Gov. Lombardo facilitated a temporary suspension of motor carrier laws to meet the propane distribution situation ahead of additional severe winter weather. The Governor’s Office stated in a statement that suspending these laws will help to speed the propane distribution process in Nevada and support essential state infrastructure, while also ensuring Nevadans’ health and safety during the recent winter storms.
The limited declaration will expire in 15 days if not renewed.
