NEVADA – Governor Joe Lombardo and the Governor’s Office of Science, Innovation, and Technology have launched the High Speed Nevada Connectivity Outreach and Engagement Tour to guarantee that all residents have access to reliable broadband internet service, affordable technology, digital skills training, and cybersecurity awareness.
Starting next week, OSIT staff members will embark on a tour of every county in Nevada, seeking feedback from residents and stakeholders on their broadband and digital equity requirements throughout the month of April.
The Governor’s office stated that OSIT will employ the feedback obtained from the tour to assist in shaping the state’s infrastructure and digital equity investments over the next four years.
“Our goal is to ensure that every Nevadan has access to a high-speed internet connection that is affordable, dependable, and scalable,” Lombardo stated. “As we create our strategies, we want to make certain that all communities have a chance to express their views.”
The Governor’s office stated that Nevadans will have several opportunities to share their experiences and opinions on broadband planning. OSIT plans to conduct public community open houses in each county, but stakeholders can also participate in virtual meetings or contribute anonymously to a public survey.
