SPARKS, Nev. (775 Times, NV Globe) – A court sentenced a Sparks man to 30 years in jail for two different offenses involving weapons and narcotics trafficking.
After 9.5 years in prison, James Brooks, 49, will be eligible for release.
Brooks pled guilty in September to two charges of Methamphetamine Trafficking and two counts of Possession of a Firearm by a Prohibited Person.
Brooks was arrested for narcotics possession in February, then again in April after posting bond, according to the Washoe County District Attorney’s Office.
Officers said they discovered meth and heroin trafficking levels, as well as a weapon, in his residence.
