NEVADA – An investigation is currently underway after a porch fire spread to the attic of a home in Spring Creek, causing damage to the property. The incident occurred early on Sunday morning on Smokey Drive.
According to reports, fire crews were dispatched to the location and found the porch engulfed in flames that had spread to the attic. A coordinated effort by multiple fire agencies including Elko Fire, Lamoille VFD, Ten Mile VFD and the City of Elko Volunteer – Lee Engine Company was needed to extinguish the fire.
One person was reported to have sustained minor injuries in the incident and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The cause of the fire is yet to be determined, and an investigation is underway to uncover more details about the incident.
