NEVADA – A man has been arrested on allegations of driving under the influence following a fatal head-on collision in Stead early Wednesday morning.
A crash was reported at the intersection of Stead Boulevard and Sagewood Drive shortly after midnight on February 8.
Investigators concluded Terry Long Jr., age 40, was traveling north on Stead Boulevard in the southbound lanes when he collided head-on with a passenger vehicle.
The driver of the automobile was killed at the site. Long Jr. was detained and charged with DUI resulting in death and driving on the wrong side of the road.
Stead Boulevard was closed for many hours while crews removed the situation, however, it is now accessible again.
