RENO, Nev. (775 Times, NV Globe) – As of 8:15 a.m., Union Pacific reports that this occurred about 6:45 a.m. A person was injured by a Union Pacific train on Friday at Sutro Street and East Commercial Way.
The Sutro Street railroad crossing is where the incident happened. The train’s crew did not sustain any wounds.
Original Article: A guy was struck by a train while standing on the tracks near Sutro Street on Friday morning, according to Reno Police.
Although the reason he was standing on the tracks is still unknown, the collision was not a criminal act, according to the authorities.
The man was brought to Renown for medical attention after surviving the crash. The inquiry will be handled by Union Pacific.
For the time being, drivers are recommended to stay away from the area. There is currently no expected timing for when traffic will fully restart, and the rails are closed.
