Mt. Rose Highway Closed Due To Massive Winter Storm
NEVADA – According to NDOT, Mt. Rose Highway is now closed due to heavy snow from the storm.
All other mountain roads require chain controls.
They advise not driving if you don’t have to this morning, as crews are working to clear the roads and make them safe for traffic.
The Greater Lake Tahoe area is still under a winter storm warning until 4 p.m. Monday.
Travel will be difficult today, according to the National Weather Service, and drivers should be on the lookout for damaged trees that may have fallen in the road.
The NWS also advises that if you must travel, plan for extended delays and bring extra supplies.

Expect up to 4 inches of snow in the Greater Lake Tahoe area and up to 6 inches above 7,000 feet.
