Nevada Has Been Accepted Into a Program That Helps Veterans Get Internships and Training After They Leave the Military
NEVADA – Nevada has been accepted into a program that offers transitioning veterans internships and training opportunities.
To help them get ready for life after the military, the Department of Defense offers a program called SkillBridge.
Members of the United States Armed Forces from all branches will be able to participate in the program in Nevada. Training and internship opportunities in 12 different fields, including law enforcement, healthcare, and the banking industry.
During the final six months of their service commitment, servicemembers can participate in internships with employer partners for a maximum of 180 days.
During training, service personnel will continue to receive their regular military pay and benefits.
