NEVADA – The Nevada Humane Society Board of Directors has accepted the resignation of CEO Greg Hall following allegations of improper staff management and operational practices.
The board has approved a third-party investigation into animal welfare and husbandry practices, as well as a review of staff compensation and a bylaw review committee.
The board also plans to search for a third-party service that would allow staff and volunteers to report ethical or compliance concerns anonymously to the board.
The welfare of the animals under the society’s care remains a top priority, said Ray Gonzalez, Board President, and Rita Eissmann, Board Vice President.
