NEVADA – According to the National Weather Service in Reno, northern Nevada could experience an Atmospheric River from Thursday afternoon to Sunday, which could cause flooding concerns in areas with shallower snowpacks below 5500 feet.
The City of Reno is taking preemptive measures by providing sandbags at several locations, including Mira Loma Park, Horseman’s Park, and Idlewild Park, among others. Meanwhile, Storey County is also offering sand and sandbags at locations such as Fire Station 74 and the Senior Center.
