Domestic Disturbance Prompts Lockdown at Two North Las Vegas Schools

Two North Las Vegas schools were placed on lockdown Monday morning following a domestic disturbance, according to police.
North Las Vegas authorities confirmed that Mojave High School and Raul P. Elizondo Elementary School were locked down as a precaution to ensure safety during the incident. Officials said the situation was related to a domestic matter and was not directly connected to the schools.
Police reported that a suspect was taken into custody, and there is no ongoing threat to the community. As of 10:30 a.m., the lockdown at Mojave High School had been lifted, while Raul P. Elizondo Elementary remained under lockdown.
The two campuses are located close to each other, with Mojave High School situated roughly half a mile north of Elizondo Elementary. Authorities did not provide further details about whether student schedules or activities would be affected for the remainder of the day.
