NEVADA – On Halloween weekend, two children were killed in an off-roading accident on Sand Mountain.
The two children were riding in a side-by-side that flipped 25 miles southeast of Fallon, according to the Churchill County Sheriff’s Office.
One youngster was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other was pronounced dead at Renown Medical Center in Reno after being transported there. A mature individual was behind the wheel of the off-road vehicle when it overturned.
According to their inquiries, the family is from Alpaugh, California, and they were just in town for the weekend.
There is no evidence to suggest drinking was a factor in the crash, but the police are still looking into it.
