Prepare For A Flood – Douglas County Urges Residents To Prepare For A Storm

NEVADA – Douglas County is warning residents to brace themselves for a storm that is likely to reach the area later this week.

Flooding is predicted owing to storms that will sweep through the area this Friday through Sunday, according to the county.

Due to the flooding, residents in Douglas County may experience some road closures on arterial roads such as Mottsville, Centerville Lane, Muller Lane, and Genoa Lane.

Excessive runoff from heavy rains may create flooding of main stem rivers, creeks, and streams, as well as other low-lying and flood-prone locations. According to the county, river flooding is most expected on the Carson River’s east fork.
