NEVADA – Red Cross of Southern Nevada and Las Vegas Fire and Rescue collaborate to prevent fire incidents in the community. On Saturday, April 1, the two agencies, along with volunteers, will install over 500 smoke alarms free of cost. The installation will start at 9 a.m. and aims to raise awareness about fire prevention.
Aside from installing smoke alarms, Red Cross volunteers will provide information on how to prevent home fires, how to respond in case of a fire outbreak, and the importance of creating an escape plan. This initiative aims to raise awareness about fire safety in the community and reduce the number of fire incidents.
Interested individuals can register for the free smoke alarm installation through SoundTheAlarm.org/Nevada. The collaboration hopes to prevent fire incidents and keep the community safe.
