NEVADA – A Reno man was killed on February 8 when his car crashed into a tree at the intersection of Longley Lane and Aircenter Circle.
A red 1986 Corvette heading south on Longley Lane hit a tree, according to the Reno Police Department.
The driver and the passenger were both taken to RENOWN for medical attention. The individual was ejected from the car.
After the collision, police closed off part of Longley Lane while they probed the cause. At 8 o’clock the scene of the accident was cleared and traffic was resumed. Two possible contributing causes to the accident include high speed and intoxication.
Passenger Patrick Magee, 60, died from his injuries two days after being taken to the hospital. RPD did not disclose any information regarding the driver’s health.
