NEVADA – In a joint operation on Monday, law enforcement successfully apprehended Marcus Allen Martinez, a convicted sexual abuser wanted by the U.S. Marshals Service for a supervised release violation warrant. Martinez, with a history of sexual abuse of a minor and failure to register as a sex offender, was taken into custody in Lemmon Valley on Nov. 21.
The U.S. Marshals Service had been actively pursuing Martinez due to a supervised release violation warrant. In the past, Martinez has made alarming threats, including claims of being armed and expressing intent to shoot Marshals during any future attempts to apprehend him.
Martinez is currently being held at the Washoe County jail, pending further legal proceedings. The successful joint operation underscores the commitment of law enforcement to apprehend individuals with active warrants and ensure the community’s safety.
