NEVADA – A stormy weather pattern has returned, bringing the likelihood of afternoon showers and thunderstorms throughout the week. Some of these storms are expected to be strong, accompanied by heavy rain, flash flooding, hail, and dangerous lightning.
Residents and outdoor enthusiasts are advised to be prepared and seek shelter if they have outdoor plans. Hikers in the mountains are encouraged to carry rain gear for their safety. Additionally, individuals on area lakes should be cautious of gusty winds associated with the storms and stay close to the shore while boating.
The showers and storms are expected to continue into the weekend, with afternoon high temperatures cooling down to the 70s.
