Two Reno Residents Were Detained for Drug Trafficking and Firearms Offenses
NEVADA – On September 17th, police conducted a traffic stop and discovered a firearm and methamphetamine in the vehicle of two Reno residents.
Don White, 54, and Lameda Allen, 51, were detained by K9 deputies from the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office and the Regional Narcotics Unit (RNU).
Driving east on I-80 near Boomtown, White and Allen were pulled over for traffic violations. WCSO K9 Deputies searched the vehicle and found over five pounds of methamphetamine and a loaded semi-automatic weapon.
White and Allen have been arrested on multiple criminal charges and placed in the Washoe County Jail.
White was arrested and charged with narcotics possession, drug trafficking, and having a firearm while a convicted felon.
Allen was also charged with various traffic offenses, narcotics trafficking, violating parole and probation, and possession of a controlled substance.
