The road has now reopened. Following a water main break, US 395 was blocked through Gardnerville. It was discovered at 3:15 p.m. Thursday.
A big amount of water was reported flooding the road around 395 and Cemetery Lane by many persons. The event was responded to by a number of authorities, including East Fork Fire, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, the Town of Gardnerville, Nevada State Police, and NDOT.
Douglas County announced on social media that US 395 was closed between Buckeye Road and Gilman Avenue. The shutdown was scheduled to last between 24 and 48 hours.
The cause of the water main break is yet unknown.
