NEVADA – The USDA announced fresh contributions to a charity in Washoe County that rehabilitates homes for underprivileged persons.
Reconstructing Together Northern Nevada will receive a $50,000 grant to repair and improve the conditions of ten low and extremely low-income Cold Springs houses.
The program is intended to help homeowners who would not otherwise be eligible for home repair assistance.
The initiative aims to improve the quality of life in the area by addressing residents’ health and safety concerns while simultaneously conserving the inexpensive housing supply.
“Our contribution today demonstrates the Biden-Harris Administration’s ongoing commitment to people and places in rural Nevada,” Ingvoldstad added. “Ensuring rural Nevadans have secure, affordable housing is one way USDA invests in prosperity at the individual level. We are excited to work with Rebuilding Together and serve rural Nevada alongside them.
