RENO, Nev. (775 Times, NV Globe) – On Veterans Day, Marked Studios is providing free tattoos to veterans.
The event is hosted by Marked Studios, but tattoo artists from Lasting Dose, Can I Play With Madness Tattoo, and others are offering their time to tattoo.
This is the eighth time Marked Studios has conducted a Veterans Day tattoo event, but they haven’t organized one in the previous three years due to covid. Mark Moots, General Manager of Marked Studios, is pleased to be back in the saddle.
“They put their lives on the line to protect and serve the rest of us,” said Moots. ”It’s literally the very least I can do as an artist or a person to give something back to them and since just happens to be what I do, I’m happy to give them that.”
“It’s not a cup of coffee or a free grand slam. No offense. But this is something that they’ll carry with them and the vets seem so appreciative and we have a great time doing it. It’s a great day where we can be in service to the people who committed their service to us.”
The art on sale is unique work created by the participating artists, and it can only be chosen once, which means that once someone chooses one of the designs, no one else can obtain it.
They intend to give away 125 tattoos on a first-come, first-served basis. You’ll need your military identification, D.D. 214, or a valid driver’s license.
The event will begin at 9 a.m. once all 125 tattoos are completed.
