Reno, Nevada – On Friday morning, a woman attempted to evade police and ended up jumping into the river near the Reno-Sparks Indian Colony Health Care Center. The Reno Fire Department was called to the scene for a water rescue operation.
According to the authorities, the woman, who remains unidentified, was pulled out of the water near the Kietzke Bridge. She did not stay in the river long enough to suffer from hypothermia, and there were no reported injuries.
After being rescued, she was handed over to the custody of tribal police. The reasons behind her attempt to evade police remain unclear. The Reno Fire Department has not released any further information on the incident.
