NEVADA – On October 13, 2023, at around 1:40 p.m., the Reno Police Department received a troubling call indicating that a small kid had been discovered unresponsive in a hotel room in the 1100 block of East Fourth Street. Before Reno Fire and REMSA ever arrived, officers had already arrived and begun performing life-saving measures.
Despite their efforts, the child’s injuries proved fatal, and he was subsequently transported to a hospital where he tragically succumbed.
Following a thorough investigation and examination of the available evidence, law enforcement officials apprehended a woman as the primary suspect in the case, charged with murder. In consideration of the relationship between the victim and the suspect, the police have decided to withhold the suspect’s name until the next of kin is notified.
This remains an active and ongoing investigation, with authorities diligently working to uncover the circumstances surrounding this heartbreaking incident. If you possess any information that may assist in shedding light on this case, please contact the Reno Police Department at 775-334-2121 or reach out to Secret Witness via call or text at 775-322-4900.
