Nevada Democrats Vote to Send Taxpayer Dollars to Illegal Immigrants

Nevada’s three House Democrats, Dina Titus, Susie Lee, and Steven Horsford, are once again under fire for prioritizing a radical political agenda over the needs of hardworking Nevadans. All three voted against the American Entrepreneurs First Act, a bill that would prevent taxpayer-funded loans from being distributed to illegal immigrants and fraudulent applicants.

The legislation, introduced by House Republicans, would require loan recipients to show proof of U.S. citizenship or legal residency and implement stricter anti-fraud protections to safeguard small business relief funds. The goal: ensure that financial assistance programs like those created in response to the COVID-19 pandemic support American entrepreneurs, not bad actors or non-citizens.

But when the time came to take a stand for accountability and fairness, Nevada’s Democrat delegation sided against the bill.

“Out of touch Democrats Dina Titus, Susie Lee, and Steven Horsford stand with illegal immigrants and fraudsters, not hardworking Nevadans,” said NRCC spokesman Christian Martinez. “Titus, Lee, and Horsford voted to put Nevadan taxpayers’ hard-earned money in the hands of illegal immigrants instead of American job creators and businesses. That will not be forgotten.”

The American Entrepreneurs First Act was introduced in response to multiple government watchdog reports that found billions of dollars in federal relief loans were distributed to individuals using false identities, including non-citizens and even international criminal networks. In Nevada and across the country, small businesses struggling to stay open were left empty-handed while fraudsters took advantage of loopholes in the system.

Despite the overwhelming public support for tougher fraud protections and proof-of-citizenship requirements, Titus, Lee, and Horsford aligned with far-left activists and special interest groups who claimed the bill was “exclusionary.”

Their votes are already fueling political backlash across Nevada, where voters especially small business owners are growing increasingly frustrated with what they see as misplaced priorities in Washington.

In a battleground state like Nevada, where inflation, small business closures, and immigration enforcement are top-of-mind issues, Democrats’ opposition to the American Entrepreneurs First Act is expected to loom large heading into 2026.
