LAS VEGAS – After a shooting in northeast Las Vegas around 7:30 p.m. Friday, one man died and another was taken to the hospital.
The Agave Ridge Apartment Homes in the 4500 block of East Bonanza Road is where it happened, according to the Las Vegas police.
Metro Lt. Jason Johansson said in a briefing that the police first got a “shot spotter alert,” which means that someone heard gunshots.
Dispatchers got more calls to 911 about the same gunshots that the alert system heard.
Johansson said that officers were able to find the apartment where they found two men in their 20s and 30s who had been shot.
Both people were taken to the hospital by medical staff.
LVMPD says that one of the men who was hurt has died and the other is in stable condition.
Johansson said that the suspect, who is still on the run, was described as a man wearing a red shirt.
No one knows what happened before the shooting.
