LAS VEGAS, Nev. (702 Times, NV Globe) – The Alpine Motel Apartments fire site in Las Vegas has been completely rebuilt.

The structure, which was built in the 1970s, caught fire three years ago this week, killing six inhabitants.

The renamed DLUX Lofts boasts new features and art on the side of the building.

“It’s really a brand-new spot top to bottom,” Senior VP Multifamily Investments at Northcap Robin Willett said.

Before investors poured a few million dollars into the refurbishment, Willett claimed, crews had already stripped the building down to the studs.

Because the fire did not damage the building’s construction, they were able to maintain the frame while starting from scratch.

“It was truly a blank canvas,” Willett said.

All utilities, windows, roof, and flooring have been replaced. For the studio flats, there are modern upgrades such as a video intercom system and Bluetooth door locks.

The goal is to be a part of the downtown regeneration while also catering to a younger demographic.

“We figured the age demographic would primarily fall into renters in their 20s to 30s that are a little bit more into tech. This is mostly a walkable site, which again proximity is big,” Willett said.
