LAS VEGAS – The City of Las Vegas has unveiled an exciting initiative to enhance early childhood education opportunities in the community. The recently launched Mobile Pre-K program is now open for registration, offering free half-day pre-kindergarten classes tailored for children aged three to five years old. This innovative program aims to provide a strong educational foundation while fostering family engagement and growth.
The Mobile Pre-K program is designed to offer not only educational instruction but also a holistic learning experience. The curriculum includes a wide range of family engagement workshops and activities that focus on essential areas of child development. These encompass literacy, mathematics, science, social and emotional growth, as well as physical fitness.
The program operates on a flexible schedule to accommodate families’ needs. Morning sessions are available from Monday through Thursday, running from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. For those who prefer afternoon sessions, they are also offered on the same weekdays, from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Parents and guardians have the convenience of choosing from two accessible locations within the valley. The first mobile unit is situated at the Chuck Minker Sports Complex, positioned at the intersection of Mojave Road and Stewart Avenue. The second unit is stationed at the Historic Westside school, located at the intersection of Washington Avenue and D Street. These strategic locations ensure that families across the city can easily participate and benefit from this invaluable initiative.
The City of Las Vegas remains committed to providing quality early education opportunities that empower both children and their families. By offering a mobile pre-kindergarten program enriched with engaging activities, they are taking a significant step towards nurturing a generation of learners and supporting the community’s growth.
Families interested in enrolling their children in this exceptional program are encouraged to register promptly and secure a spot in this educational journey.
