Deadly Shooting at Henderson Party: Suspect Faces Multiple Charges

In the early hours of Friday, a gathering in the southeast Las Vegas valley escalated into violence, resulting in a fatal shooting and the arrest of a suspect. The incident occurred around 2 a.m. in the 300 block of Taylor Street, near Boulder Highway and East Lake Mead Parkway. Officers from the Henderson Police Department responded to the scene and found a 24-year-old man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was quickly transported to a local hospital but was later pronounced dead.

The suspect has been identified as 24-year-old Damarea Ethridge, who was taken into custody at the scene. Ethridge faces several charges, including one count of open murder with a deadly weapon, ten counts of discharging a firearm within a prohibited area, and ten counts of discharging a firearm where individuals could be endangered. He is currently held at the Henderson Detention Center. The Clark County Coroner’s Office will release the victim’s identity once the next of kin have been notified.
