LAS VEGAS – On Tuesday, a dog was taken to the vet because it had broken bones and rocks in its stomach.
He was recently found in a ditch near Sloan Lane and Sahara Avenue. His name is Duke. Duke was later taken in by a non-profit rescue group called A Home 4 Spot. He was taken right away to get cared for.
Veterinarians took X-rays of Duke and could see the rocks in his stomach. No one knows why the dog would want to eat rocks. The group also says that he had some kind of cloth inside of him.
Home 4 Spot is now trying to raise money for the surgery, which could cost up to $5,000, according to the group.
Anyone who wants to give money can go here.
