LAS VEGAS – Las Vegas Police have reported a tragic incident in which a man fatally stabbed his wife before turning the knife on himself. The incident occurred on Saturday morning in a house on Torington Drive in the west valley. At around 8:17 a.m., police received a report of a suicidal man at the residence.
Upon arriving at the scene, officers found a man and a woman with stab wounds. The woman, whose name has not been released, was pronounced dead at the scene. The man, identified as a 33-year-old, was taken to University Medical Center in critical condition.
Detectives investigating the case have reported that the man fatally stabbed his wife before stabbing himself and subsequently calling the police. The man has been arrested and charged with open murder with a deadly weapon. This charge allows for a conviction on any of the state’s classifications of murder, ranging from first degree to manslaughter.
