LAS VEGAS, NV – Daniel Rodimer, a former congressional candidate and wrestler, faces a murder charge after allegedly beating Christopher Tapp to death during a Halloween party at Resorts World. The 45-year-old was indicted by a grand jury last month.

Tapp, 47, initially died of an apparent overdose and fall on November 5th. An investigation was launched after Tapp’s friends and family questioned the circumstances of his death. His death was later ruled a homicide.

Grand jury testimony reveals Rodimer became enraged after allegedly seeing Tapp offer cocaine to Rodimer’s stepdaughter. Witness Dani Lyons says Rodimer punched and choked Tapp inside a luxury suite.

Lyons also claims Rodimer’s wife tried to cover up the incident, asking her to lie to law enforcement. Security reports indicate that the incident was initially reported as a “slip and fall” accident.

An autopsy later confirmed Tapp died from blunt force trauma. Rodimer posted $200,000 bail; his arraignment is set for May 8th.
