LAS VEGAS – Lee Canyon located about 50 miles outside of the Las Vegas Valley, is the place to go for a winter paradise.
According to Jim Seely, marketing director for Lee Canyon, the snow is a welcome sight for guests.
He said the snow began around 9 a.m. and would end around 9 p.m., leaving around 12 inches of snow behind.
He claims that the regular snow season in Lee Canyon lasts through March unless the snow continues, in which case it could be extended until April.
As a precaution, Jim advises checking NVROADS.com before traveling out to the mountain for road conditions and any special needs, such as chains or 4-wheel drive.
Lee Canyon is open daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
