LAS VEGAS – One person is dead, and another was hospitalized after a crash in the southwest Las Vegas valley on Sunday evening.
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD), the crash occurred around 7:15 p.m. near the intersection of Spring Valley Parkway and Rainbow Boulevard, close to Tropicana Avenue.
Responding officers found two individuals in need of medical attention and transported them to a local hospital. Unfortunately, one of the individuals succumbed to their injuries and was pronounced deceased at the hospital. The other person’s condition is reported to be “serious but not life-threatening,” LVMPD stated.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by LVMPD’s Traffic Investigation Section. Further details regarding the incident are expected to be released as the investigation progresses.
