Five People Were Shot Early Sunday Morning in Las Vegas After a Birthday Party

LAS VEGAS – Five people were shot early Sunday morning in Las Vegas after a birthday party.
The shooting happened around 1 a.m. on September 18 in the 4800 block of Holt Avenue, near Lake Mead Boulevard and Nellis Boulevard, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police.
LVMPD said that a group of people got together at a house in the area for a birthday party. Someone got into a fight with someone else and pulled out a gun.
Five people were shot, police said. Three were seriously hurt, but they were thought to be stable. Two more were in surgery and were also thought to be seriously hurt.
Police said that the suspect had been caught and that there was no longer a threat to the public or any other suspects on the loose.
