Las Vegas, Nevada – A chilling video has emerged of the harrowing moment a gunman brazenly entered a luxury condominium complex in Las Vegas, unleashing a barrage of gunfire. The assailant, identified as 32-year-old Andrew Warrender, was captured on surveillance cameras as he walked through Turnberry Towers at Paradise Road and Karen Avenue, brandishing an AR-15-style rifle on the afternoon of June 23rd.
Startlingly, the footage shows Warrender navigating through the complex with apparent ease, as Metro police later revealed he had a relative residing at the same location, granting him unfettered access.
Once inside the building, Warrender located the rifle within his uncle’s condominium and continued his ominous journey. The surveillance video documents Warrender’s movements as he descended multiple flights of stairs, traversed hallways, and even operated elevators, all the while clutching the formidable weapon.
The climax of this sinister intrusion occurred as Warrender reached the lobby on the first floor. Witnesses described a terrifying scene, with Warrender, helmet-clad and armed with the AR-15, unleashing a hail of bullets, aiming the rifle menacingly at employees who sought refuge behind the front desk.
Police records indicate that Warrender managed to discharge only one round before the rifle jammed, forcing him to address the malfunction. It was at this critical juncture that a courageous Turnberry Towers employee sprang into action, returning fire and hitting Warrender multiple times in his legs and abdomen.
The shocking video clip captures Warrender’s precipitous fall to the ground, punctuated by anguished screams. The heroic employee then approached the wounded assailant, holding him at gunpoint until law enforcement arrived on the scene.
Months after the confrontation, a grand jury handed down an indictment against Andrew Warrender. Having been released from the hospital, he now faces impending trial proceedings scheduled for February.
