A tragic accident early Tuesday morning claimed the life of a juvenile on U.S. 95 in Henderson, Nevada.
According to the Nevada Highway Patrol (NHP), the crash occurred at approximately 12:17 am on the southbound lanes of the highway, just north of Russell Road.
Details surrounding the cause of the accident are still emerging, but NHP confirmed the incident involved multiple vehicles, with at least one rolling over.
The most heartbreaking consequence is the confirmed death of a juvenile at the scene. Two adults and two additional juveniles sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to a local hospital.
The severity of the accident necessitated a complete closure of all southbound lanes of U.S. 95 from Tropicana to Russell. NHP advised motorists to expect delays as the investigation unfolds, with estimates indicating the closure could last up to six hours.
This is a developing story, and further information regarding the cause of the accident and the identities of those involved may be released later.
