LAS VEGAS – According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, a man is accused of killing his girlfriend after an argument in Sandy Valley on Thursday.
Officers got a complaint of a lady being shot inside a property in the 800 block of Marble Avenue in Sandy Valley at 9:06 p.m. Thursday, according to police.
Officers arrived and found the woman, who appeared to have been shot. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital, where she was subsequently confirmed dead.
According to the police investigation, the woman was in a fight with her partner, David Kashich, 62. Kashich allegedly shot the victim during the argument.
Kashich was arrested at the scene and put into the Clark County Detention Center on charges of open murder, assault with a deadly weapon, and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person.
Kashich is being detained without bail. According to court records, his next court appearance is scheduled on Saturday.
