New Details Emerge in Tupac Shakur Murder Investigation

LAS VEGAS – Newly released grand jury transcripts shed light on the investigation into the murder of rapper Tupac Shakur and the recent arrest of Duane “Keffe D” Davis. The transcripts reveal testimony from retired Metro homicide detective Clifford Mogg, who took over the case in 2018, and provide insight into Davis’ book and past interviews.

Despite Davis’ claims that Shakur was reaching for a gun before the shooting, Mogg stated there was no evidence that Shakur or Knight had a weapon. Davis had believed he had immunity in the Las Vegas case due to a proffer he received as part of the LAPD’s investigation into The Notorious B.I.G.’s death, but that didn’t protect him from public statements that led to his recent arrest.

The investigation remains ongoing, and Davis is expected to appear in court on October 19 as he seeks a local attorney.
