LAS VEGAS, Nev. (702 Times, NV Globe) – The Plaza Hotel in downtown Las Vegas has announced its rodeo activities for next month’s NFR.
Each night from December 1 to 10, a free viewing party for the National Finals Rodeo will be held within the Plaza’s showroom, beginning at 5:30 p.m. Guests can compete for prizes and see unique guest appearances.
On December 2-11, professional rodeo competitions will be contested at the CORE Arena:
- Rope for the Crown – Dec. 2-3
- Big Time Barrel Racing Championships, Dec. 4-6
- Las Vegas Stars Tie-Down and Breakaway, Dec. 4-9
- U.S. Shootout Finals, Dec. 8-11
All rodeo activities at CORE Arena will be free to the public.
The Downtown Christmas Expo will also take over the third-floor convention area from December 1 to 10, starting at 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The Diamonds in the Desert Premier Horse Sale is set for December 3rd in the showroom.
The Ropsesmart Ropes for the World Dummy Roping will be hosted at the convention space’s entry hall from December 8 to 10.

The NFR takes over the Thomas & Mack Center from Thursday, December 1 through Saturday, December 10. Every night, free shuttles will travel from downtown Las Vegas to the arena.
