LAS VEGAS – A Delta flight at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas faced a lengthy delay on Monday as it sat on the tarmac without air conditioning. While the exact duration of the wait remains unconfirmed, there were reports of a four-hour delay, with temperatures soaring to around 110 degrees. The situation resulted in discomfort for passengers, and one individual sought medical treatment for heat-related issues.
Delta Airlines expressed apologies for the ordeal in an email, acknowledging the cancellation of Flight 555 from Las Vegas to Atlanta. The airline stated that it is investigating the circumstances that led to the uncomfortable cabin temperatures. Additionally, affected customers have received personal apologies and compensatory measures to address their experience.
Although Harry Reid International Airport officials were unaware of the specific incident, alternative arrangements were made for the passengers after the flight was canceled.
